Yoso Heated Eyelash Curler

I am sure that everyone loves an eyelash curler, it is something so simple but can make a complete change to your look. However let me introduce you to a whole new level, the Yoso Heater Lash Curler*. When I first heard about this I was dying to give it a try as I have very straight lashes, so using a normal curler doesn't last very long. Here is how I got on.
www.beautycrowd.com/products/yoso-lash £15.99
The Yoso heater eyelash curler looks very simple and easy to use, however I wanted to be very careful as putting a hot object near your eyes seems quite dangerous. Beauty Crowd have put a tutorial on their YouTube channel showing how to use it which was very helpful. First of all you turn the device on and wait a minute for it to heat up, there is a little indicator which shows you when its ready. The Yoso curler has a hot side which you use to curl your lashes upwards. There is also a smaller part on the top which gets hot so you can reach the smaller lashes nearer the lid. Once you have done this you apply a layer of mascara, curl them again and use the comb on the other side to separate the lashes.
I know that a lot of people have problems with curling their lashes with a manual curler or mascara. I have very straight lashes but they do hold a curl, not the best but it's nothing to complain about. However if you find that your lashes just don't hold a curl this product might be something you want to try.
In my opinion using the Yoso lash curler is not as simple as using a normal curler and does add on about 5 minutes to your make up routine. Therefore I would only use it for a special occasion when I need to make more of an effort and I want my lash curl to last all night. The results were very good, it gave my lashes a nice curl which lasted all day. I like the idea of the product, it is very different and innovative but I don't think the heat is good to use everyday. As heat can damage the hair on your head I am sure it can damage eyelashes too but it makes a nice change every once and a while. I do also think it is very good value for money and definitely won't break the bank so is a great addition to your dressing table if you have stubborn lashes.

Check out the Yoso curler and other products from Beauty Crowd here.

NV Cosmetics lipsticks

NV Colour Cosmetics* is a company you may not have heard of but they are on the up and you definitely will want to try them soon. A few months ago I was sent 2 lipsticks and a lip crayon to try out.
The lip products I received are all colours I love and are very easily wearable. The dark purple lipstick is a dupe for Mac Rebel, I wrote a post comparing them here. The formula's are smooth, apply very well and are extremely pigmented. The crayon is very moisturizing and more glossy than the lipsticks which are more matte. They last a few hours on the lips which in my opinion isn't bad at all for the price.
NV Watermelon Lip Crayon £5.00
The lip crayon glides across the lips nicely leaving a slash of cool toned bright pink. The shiney finish that it leaves makes it a very easy product as is like having a lipstick and gloss in one. This pink is perfect for spring/summer!
NV Siren Lipstick £6.00
This red lipstick from NV is my absolute perfect red shade. It's slightly warm, orange toned and really compliments my skin tone. The lipstick again is nice to apply, makes your lips stand out and isn't at all drying.
NV Fever Lipstick £6.00
As I said above this lipstick is a dupe for Rebel which is one of my favourite mac shades. This is a great cheaper alternative if you want to brave the very dark berry lip but don't want to splash out on Mac's prices. I think this is a nice autumn shade and really makes brown eyes stand out!

If you haven't tried NV Cosmetics yet I would 100% recommend them for great products at a very reasonable price. You can check out all their products here.

Lots of love

P.S. I haven't re-dyed my hair pink, these photo's were taken months ago!

Sunkissed Rapid One Hour Tan Mousse

I was so excited to received an email from Sunkissed asking whether I wanted to try out their brand new Rapid Tan Mousse* as they are my favourite fake tan brand ever! I love their original tanning mouse and I have been waiting for them to bring out a hour one tan for ages now. So here is how I got on.
Sunkissed rapid tan
www.sunkissedbronzing.co.uk/catalog/fake-tan/sunkissed-rapid-tan-mousse-150ml £4.99
No Tan (daylight no flash)
After tan application (daylight no flash)
After 1 hour development (flash)
After 4 hours development (flash)
Tan line
I received the tan in their medium shade. Sunkissed rapid tan promises to develop in 1 hour which is super quick for a fake tan and the longer you leave it before showering, the darker it goes. First impressions were that the colour is perfect for me when applied, smells really good like their original tan and the colour developed well in the hour. I did leave it for 4 hours and then showered it off, the tan washed off evenly and doesn't look streaky one bit.
After shower
Please bare in mind that the photo's above were taken at night therefore I had to use flash. In my opinion this makes the tan look a lot darker and more orange than it actually is. I took another photo, see below, to show what the tan looks like the next morning in daylight.

I would say that it did give me a really nice healthy bronzed look however I love a really dark tan and kind of preferred the colour I was before I washed it off, which was very dark (I guess that's the Essex in me). I think I would definitely buy this tan again as I love the convenience of it but I would purchase the dark tan as the medium tan is probably better for very pale people. I think this is the perfect product if you are going out and in a rush, you don't want to go out looking pale but need a quick fake tan which leaves a nice colour.
The next day (daylight no flash)
Before and after tan (both daylight no flash)
Sunkissed tans are so easy to apply with a mit, smell great and are very cheap! Both the original and 1 hour are brilliant value for money and I cannot wait to purchase the darker shade! Check out the range here www.sunkissedbronzing.co.uk.

Lots of love

Sleek Hair Couture One Piece Clip-In

As you may have seen over the past few weeks I am trying to find the perfect extensions for my hair. Ever since I have been dying it blonde it has lacked thickness and just doesn't look very full anymore. I love being blonde so instead of going back to my natural hair colour, I have tried out a few different extensions to give my hair back it's magic. My most latest find has been a One Piece clip-in weft from Sleek*.
www.sleek.co.uk/products/HC1CLIP20 Shade 613 £19.99
Now I am just going to quickly note that unfornately this doesn't match my hair, the shade is fine however the tone is a bit too yellow. I have yet to tone it down but I am sure it is easily done with purple shampoo. However I will be reviewing it for you anyways as I think it is a great product. As it is just one simple weft it makes applying and wearing extensions a lot easier but still adds fullness. This hair extension has 4 wefts in one, all attached neatly together with no bumps but firm clips. There is a lot of hair on this extension but it doesn't feel big, bulky or heavy. I did wear it around the house and it stays in all day, adds a lot of hair and doesn't full out.
One down side is that the hair is artificial so doesn't look as good as real hair but I don't think anyone could ever tell the difference once it's blended in and it's great value for the price. Remy hair would cost a hell of a lot more, so you can't really go wrong for £20. I think this one piece weft is a brilliant quick fix of lack of volume for a night out or special occasion, the style is gorgeous and really adds a lot of glamour to boring hair. I cannot wait until this matches my hair and I can start wearing it as it's so easy!

Lip Voltage The Powerhouse

Ever since the explosion of Kylie Jenner selfie's I know a lot of people, including myself, have been incredibly envious of her plump lips. Now whether they are real or fake, all I have thought is that I need them in my life. I have tried a few techniques to make my lips appear larger without injections, one being a new lipgloss called Lip Voltage The Powerhouse*.
www.wrinkleregime.com/products8.php?ProductID=11 £25
There are many lip plumping glosses out there, so cosmetic company Dreamweave and Co have tried to do something innovative by combining 3 ingredients to create a product which will give unbelievable volume while making your lips appear fuller, smoother and hydrated. Lip Voltage is the best I have tried, although it did come at a price and no I am not talking about the cost.
After applying the gloss I was amazed by the results, my lips looked massive and I loved them so much. However to achieve this it was quite painful, to say the least. The tingling sensation is very intense and your lips do feel like they are burning. It's hard to say whether other people will find this a horrible feeling as everyone has different pain thresholds. My boyfriends brother tried it, he applied loads, and he was crying it hurt him so much. After about 10 minutes he had to wipe it off and put ice on his lips, it was quite funny (sorry Zach). I on the other hand applied one to two coats to my lips and massaged around my cupids bow like it tells you to, yes it was unpleasant but I was able to deal with the pain. It does promise to last 24 hours which I don't agree with but unlike most lip plumping glosses which last less than an hour, it did last for quite a few hours. When it comes to the actual gloss element, it is a good formula which glides across your lips easily. They feel soft and smoothed out, and in my opinion fine lines appear reduced.

Top - before     Bottom - after
Top - before     Bottom - after
This gloss is priced at £25, which I don't think is too much money and I probably would pay that amount for it. I understand that a lot of people will think it's a lot of money for a lipgloss but most high end brands will charge that amount for their lip products and implants would cost a hell of a lot more.

Lots of love

Schwarzkopf got2b Mind Blowing

A few weeks ago I was picked to be a VIP Tester for Schwarzkopf where I get to try out new products to review. I was incredibly happy to be chosen as I use their styling and colouring products all the time, and I believe they are one of the best high street hair brands out there. I was sent their xpress dry styling spray*, fast dry hairspray* and quick shape mousse* from Schwarzkopf's brand new Mind Blowing range which are meant to speed up tiresome blow drying time.
The first product is the styling spray which I really like, it doesn't knock loads of time off blow drying but I would say it was definitely quicker. I love how it is also a heat protestant and a detangler as well, this means you are only spraying on one product and not laying them up which can create product build up. It seems to protect well but obviously this is hard to tell, my hair is normally very tangled when wet and this spray really did sort that out so it was easy to brush through.
www.superdrug.com/Hair/Hair-Treatments/Hair-Treatments/got2b-Mind-Blowing-Xpress-Dry-Styling-Spray-200ml £4.05
I am not sure how the mousse and hairspray are meant to speed up blow drying time but I do like them anyways. The moose is a good formula, very similar to most other mouses I've used. It helps to create curls/waves which hold and last, its not overly sticky and spreads well throughout the hair. It also offers heat protection and a flexible hold which is an added bonus.
www.superdrug.com/Hair/Hair-Treatments/Hair-Treatments/got2b-Mind-Blowing-Quick-Shape-Mousse-200ml £4.05
The hair spray formula is again similar to most however it is more of the spray diffuser which is different. It's meant to disperse better out of the can and more evenly which I agree it does. When spraying, a nice thin coat comes out which means that hair isn't overloaded with hairspray and doesn't feel crispy. The hairspray drys quickly, the hold feels light but even and it lasts all day. This isn't a strong hair spray so if your looking to hold your updo in place so it doesn't move this isn't the right product. However it does provide a nice natural hold so is more suited for holding curls or hair-down styles.
www.superdrug.com/Hair/Hair-Treatments/Hair-Treatments/got2b-Mind-Blowing-Fast-Dry-Hairspray-300ml £4.05
Here is how I use the products:

1. After I towel dry my hair I spray on the styling spray and brush through.
 2. Once my hair is tangle free I run some mousse through my hair
 3. I then french plait my hair and spray with hairspray, ready for bed!
 4. When I wake up I take out the french plait and I am left with gorgeous soft waves!
I really like all the Mind Blowing products compliment each other and work together to make drying your hair quicker and easier. They are available now in Boots and Superdrug.

Lots of love

Hot Hair 3/4 Wig

Hot Hair* is a website that I have recently come across which sells glamorous hair piece's and wigs, helping you get an amazing new look. Whether you want hair like Angelina Jolie or Pixie Lott, Hot Hair has a product for you. They sent me their Brianna 3/4 Wig in Sandy Blonde which I couldn't wait to wear, one problem was that it doesn't match my hair colour. However I shall be reviewing this for you anyways as one day hopefully I shall be able to wear it.
www.hothair.co.uk/Brianna-Wig-by-Hothair Currently £55.20 Usually £69
By all means I am no expert on hair pieces as this is my first however I do own a fair amount of hair extensions. First impressions on this one from Hot Hair is very thick, great quality and looks great. It's made from synthetic hair but doesn't look it at all and feels good as far as fake hair goes. It secures to your own hair well with 2 big slides which you push through your hair and 2 side clips. I was wearing it around the house for a while and it didn't feel loose at all nor did it feel like it was going to fall out. When brushing the hair piece it feels quite strong and barely any hair came out.

Having quite thick hair myself I don't think a hair piece is for me as it just sits onto of my own hair and the layers look a bit strange. But if you have thin hair and are looking for volume rather than length this is the product for you. It really give your natural hair a boost and looks very glam for a night out. This hair piece is perfect if you want to change up your style every now and then but are not looking for a permanent change. Hair pieces give you so much more freedom to change your hair, giving you the long locks you have always wanted or the high ponytail you never thought you could have. At the end of the day you can just take them off and not have to deal with the hassle of long hair.
Hot Hair have loads of fantastic hair pieces including extensions, ponytails and buns. They have some really good discounts at the moment so check them all out here www.hothair.co.uk.
