Mark Betts Shampoo and Conditioner

Over the past few weeks I have been trialing the new shampoo and conditioner range from Mark Betts* Hairdressing, which was started in 1977 by husband and wife team, Mark and Alison Betts. They have over 30 year experience in the hair industry and have been teaching hairdressing apprenticeships as well since 2000. They have now created their own hair care range which is high quality, with as many organic ingredients as possible.
I tried the colour protecting shampoo and conditioner, which promises to prolong the lifespan of colour treated hair, lock in moisture and not dry out the ends. In my opinion it left my hair feeling super soft and in good condition, I 100% agree with the promise to lock in moisture as it felt a hell of a lot less dry. I would say that it doesn't thicken hair and not much volume added but feels so silky and nice to touch. If you read my post about Mane n Tail horse shampoo you will know that it was kind of the opposite, it left my hair feeling thick and voluminous but lacked softness and silkyness. So the mark betts one has put all that back in. I love touching it and running my hands through it. The consistency is nice, quite a thick shampoo and conditioner, smells really fruity and is nice to use. The only thing I would change is that I wish the shampoo lathered up a bit more. The packaging is clean and professional, the simple plain metal really makes it look salon quality. Another great pro is that their products are not tested on animals and they care about the environment. As my hair has been dyed so many times, I know that it will not lose the colour anyways however I would say it has brightened it up and added moisture back in where the colour has take it out.
The shampoo comes in at £9.95 and the condition £11.25 which is more pricey than highstreet ones however is a good price for salon quality. Most shampoo's that are sold in salons start at this price and can be a lot more expensive so I would probably purchase in this price range. The Mark Betts hair care range is massive and each shampoo/conditioner is tailored to a different hair type so you will definitely find the perfect one for you. They also have a good selection of hair treatments and masks which sound amazing. You can check them all out here

Thanks for reading
