You may have heard along the grapevine that the must have hair product of 2014 was horse shampoo. No that isn't just the name of a brand, it is literally shampoo for horses. Apparently celebrities swear by it, therefore I had to give it a go. So for the past couple of months I have been using the Mane 'n Tail Deep Moisturising shampoo, conditioner and hair strengthener leave in treatment, and here's what I thought.
My hair means a lot to me, I love it so much and try and do my best to take care of it. I do dye it a lot when I get bored therefore the condition isn't the best it could be. In my opinion it lacks thickness since I have been dying it and tends to grow slower than before.

First impressions are that it doesn't smell that great, not that it smells bad, it just could be a lot better. Also it doesn't lather up as much as I like, not the worse I've used but again could be better. Other than that the shampoo and conditioner are a good formula and seem like most others. The leave in spray is a nice treatment which I apply to damp hair and either blowdry or leave to dry naturally. I bought my products on eBay and I thought the price was very reasonable being the same price as most highstreet products. The bottles are a good size and with washing my hair about 2-3 times a week they lasted me about 3 months.
I wouldn't say I saw results straight away but over the course of using them I have found my hair to be thicker and courser. It doesn't make your hair soft and silky but it has definitely helped on the volume front. My hair also seems to be in a lot better condition, I have noticed a lot less split ends and fall out. This used to be a terrible problem before and now I have definitely noticed a dramatic decrease in the amount of hair on my floor. Overall I am extremely happy with Mane 'n Tail and I'm very pleased with my results. I used all 3 products together so I cannot comment on their pros and cons individually. I would say if you are looking for a product that will give you shiny, smooth hair then this is not it, but if you are lacking fullness then give this a try. I am currently testing out another shampoo and if that one doesn't work for me then I will definitely be buying more Mane n' Tail.
Lots of love
P.S. Have you tried horse shampoo yet?
