Binky London Nail Varnish

Those of you who love reality television will already know of Binky Felstead, but for those of you that don't she is a well love character off of Made In Chelsea. I only really started watching MIC last series and gave up on it after a few episodes, however I did know of Binky before watching as she is all over the Make up and Fashion scene. She is one of my favourite reality stars, she is beautiful, her make up is on point and always looks fabulous. Therefore when I was given the chance to try out her nail varnish range Binky London*, I was incredibly pleased.
www.binkylondon.com/index.php/binky-nails-polish-shop/ £2.95
I love the shade of the polish, its a beautiful deep pinky, fuchsia purple and I think its a brilliant autumn/winter shade. All the shades in the Binky London range are very unique and extremely different to the usual nail polish ranges in the drugstore. They have loads of awesome collections with gorgeous shades in, so you are bound to find one you love and would make brilliant gifts. I have my eye on the summer bronzed collection... hint hint. The nail varnish dried very quickly and lasted nearly 2 weeks, although I do have acrylic nails so it will be a lot better. Please do not expect it to last as long on natural nails as varnishes rarely do.
The only downside to this polish was in my opinion it was quite thin, please bare in mind again I did use this polish on false nails. Even after 2 coats I wasn't completely happy, it was nearly there but just not quite right. And I don't really like having to do a third coat, nor have the time, so I was slightly disappointed. The polish I tried is in their gel effect range which promises 'incredible coverage and an even finish in just one coat', I do not believe it lives up to this as even on natural nails one coat is not enough. However for the price of the varnish it is great value for money as they do only cost £2.95.

Binky London seem like a very fast growing brand so definitely check out their products. They also have a range of mascaras and lipsticks as well which look gorgeous. You can find them online www.binkylondon.com or on Twitter twitter.com/BinkyLondon.

Curry's Christmas London Walk

A few weeks ago I went on a Christmas shopping walking tour of London run by Best LDN Walks* in association with Currys*. We started at Green Park went to lots of independent shops on the search for different Christmas gifts which are a little bit more special than the high street. We also all wore different fitness trackers to see how many steps we did, to show that you can burn those all important Christmas calories even while shopping. It did feel like most of the shops were quite near each other and we ended at Piccadilly which is the next Tube stop along.
The tour was very interesting and great fun, it was fantastic to learn so much and see different parts of London I wouldn't normally visit. It was also a great contrast to riding the tube. This tour is great if your looking for special presents for Christmas or you just want to find some hidden gems in London. I will be posting a vlog of the day next week so be on the look out for that on my YouTube channel, I got some great footage that day as I went to a few events and we got stuck walking through about 500 people dressed as Father Christmas doing Santa Con which was very amusing.
My Jawbone UP 24 Fitness Tracker eustore.jawbone.com/jawbone-pink-coral* £99.99
Now onto the tour, this is a photo heavy post... First we went to Charbonnel and Walker which is the Queen's chocolate shop and sampled her favourite treat in the form of a violet rose chocolate which was beautiful and tasted a lot like parma violets.

Next we went to Hatchards which is the oldest bookshop in the UK, it was huge with a whopping 5 floors so everyone is bound to find something they liked.

Then we went off to the oldest cigar merchants in London, James J Fox, which supplied Winston Churchill with his favourite smoke, which you can still buy. This would make a brilliant present for a smoker.
The actual chair Winston Churchill sat on and smoked

Next we stopped at Berry Brothers which is the oldest wine merchant in London, it amazingly still has the original floor and furnishing. This company supplied the Titanic and the Cutty Sark so even if you are not into your wine it is a great part of history.
The Kinds Ginger... We sampled this and it was so strong!

We then had a quick stop at Lock and Co which is a very old Hat shop, selling every kind of hat you can think of and are amazing quality. I did drool over the fur a little bit.

The penultimate stop was a perfume shop called Floris. The perfume was very high quality so is a very special gift for a lady. They even still stock the scents they supplied to Marilyn Monroe, Ian Fleming and Winston Churchill (Marilyn's wasn't all that, it smelt like citronella).

Paxton and Whitfield is a cheese shop in London, I did walk in but I actually just walked straight back out again. As much as I love cheese, it really did smell quite strong in there.

This tour is a great idea if your taking a trip to London and it only costs £8 which is brilliant value. I actually walked a huge 7200 steps on the tour along which I was so surprised at. I am loving my Fitness Tracker and I have worn it everyday since. It even has a smart alarm which can wake you up at the perfect moment when sleeping... How awesome is that! For more info on the smart tech please check out the Curry's official blog post here.

Mac Rebel Dupe

I was recently sent some makeup by NV Colour Cosmetics* and as soon as I saw one of the lipsticks I got a little bit excited. Rebel by Mac is one of my favourite lipsticks, and I think I have found a very close dupe in this NV lipstick in the shade Fever.
NV
 NV www.nvcolour.com/shop/lips/nv-fever-lipstick* £6.00
Mac
Mac www.maccosmetics.co.uk/product/Rebel/Lipstick £15.50
As you can see from the images above, first two photos are Fever and the second two are Rebel, the lipsticks are extremely similar. They look quite different in the swatches on my hand below but on the lips I can barely tell them apart. So much so that it took me ages to figure out which shade was which when I was choosing the photos for this post. The NV one is a little darker and more purple toned whereas Rebel is a lot more pinky. However they both make gorgeous winter shades and would suit anyone if you dare to go that dark. I think they look gorgeously gorthic without washing you out, they are both definitely more fashionista than scene girl (not that there's anything wrong with scene girls, I used to try and be one when I was a teenager, one day I'll show you a photo!). I am so glad I have found this dupe for less than half of the price of the Mac one!

Pink Hair Tutorial

I have just uploaded a new video tutorial on how I get pastel pink/purple hair. I use the La Riche Directions hair dyes, which are semi permanent and dilute a small amount with white conditioner. It is quite bright at first but fades in just one wash. I love the colour that it comes out and I love having a new shade every time I wash it.

Disclaimer: I am not a hairdresser/professional, this is just how I dye my hair. If you are unsure then do seek professional advice first! Please do make sure you have a parents permission if you are under 18 and do a patch skin test a few days before if this is the first time you have used Directions hair dye.

It is definitely best that it comes out too bright rather than too light as you can always wash it again the next day so that it fades. I done this process the week before and it barely showed up as I didn't use enough dye, which is why my hair is a tiny bit pink beforehand in this tutorial.

I did also forget to say in the video that I left the dye on for about 25 minutes however you can leave it on for any amount of time, upto about 45 minutes at the most. You will be able to see the colour change on your hair but it you are unsure, wash off the dye from a small strand and see if you are happy with the colour.

As for how long it lasts well it all depends on your hair and how often you wash it. I filmed this a couple of weeks ago and it is nearly all faded out now. My hair does take dye very easily and I was it about twice a week. It is currently a very light baby pink/lilac hair which is almost white. Another great thing is that this kind of acts as a toner so once it is all faded out you will be left with white blonde hair rather than yellow blonde.

Mac Velvet Teddy and Soar part 2 / Kylie Jenner Lips

Following on from my previous blog post a few weeks ago about Mac Velvet Teddy lipstick and Soar lipliner (view it here),  I have taken a few photo's for you to show what it looks like on.
Rocking the Kylie Jenner pout
Just Velvet Teddy
Crop top - Fashion Ataha*
Just Soar (Overlined)
Both Velvet Teddy and Soar
As you can see Soar on its own is the darker option with more colour, with Velvet Teddy added it lightens up the look and also makes it look a little more nude. I think just Soar looks the most similar to the Kylie Jenner 90's nude lip, however it is quite a bold look so I can understand why Velvet Teddy is added, to make it more of an everyday shade. Soar is a matte liner so can be quite drying on your lips if you use it on it's own. Velvet Teddy, although matte, is actually quite a creamy texture making it very easy to apply on top.
