Chantel Martin Candles

As the winter months draw in I am sure many of you are digging out all of the scented candles and snuggling up on the sofa with loads of comfort food. I was an extremely lucky girl and was asked if I wanted to try out a few candles from the Chantel Martin* collection. They are a relatively new company, ran by husband and wife Paul and Chantel Martin, but I can tell they are going to be a big success.

When I received two massive boxes of candles I was extremely surprised. They asked me to pick out some of the big ones and they said they would send me one each of the votive's. I was definitely not expecting the amount that arrived. The candles were packaged very well, with so much polystyrene I don't think they could ever break. They arrived next day by courier which is a great bonus.

The selection of scents are extraordinary, whether you prefer refreshing, floral or comforting, you will definitely find one you like. So much so that I thought I would go through, smell them all and then pick a favourite. This proved a hell of a lot harder than I first thought as I honestly love them all. I tried to separate the ones I liked the most and it turned out to be half of them! I love Mango, Jasmine Neroli and Mint, Clean Cotton, Whitewood Vanilla and Patchouli, Cranberry, Bubblegum, Fresh Lemon, Watermelon Sorbet, Baby Powder, Luscious Lemon, Fresh Mint and Verbena, White Florals and Ginger (I told you it was difficult). The rest also smelt incredible too, the only one I wasn't too keen on was Amber Nectarine Rose and Wild Honey. Can you believe I only found one I didn't like out of approx 20. I am normally extremely fussy with candle scents.
The Chantel Martin candles have a good strong scent cold, when they are lit it does take a little bit of time for the smell to fill the room. Having said that they are still much better than most scented candles I've tried. The big jars burn quite slowly so I think they will last me quite a long time. I burnt a couple of votive's and they went down about half way in about 6 hours which is quite quick, but brilliant considering they only cost £2.50. The medium apothecary jars come in at £9.99, the large at £15.99 and the luxury scents (ones with metal lids) are priced at £19.99. Overall they burnt down well and did not leave any of that nasty black stuff on the glass.
The service I received from this company was amazing. Paul informed me that he was not happy with the colour of the Whitewood luxury one, which as you might be able to tell from the photo's looks a little bit different. He sent it anyways and promised to send me a replacement when he was happy with it. I wouldn't too bothered how it looked because it still smelt incredible so I completely forgot about it. I then received a new one a couple of days ago which does look a lot cleaner. I was so impressed with the honesty and generosity I received, Chantel and Paul seem like lovely people.

I honestly love these candles so much, I am so impressed with all the scents and I would 100% recommend them to anyone! Check out Chantel Martin Candles here www.chantelmartincandles.com or they will be happy to help you on Twitter twitter.com/Chantel__Martin
