Hairtrade I&K Gold Hair Extensions

After dying my hair many a times I have been on the lookout for new hair extensions as my old ones do not match my hair colour anymore. In come these ones by I&K Hair from Hairtrade* which are 100% real human hair and matched mine almost perfectly. Sorry my hair matches my background, I really should paint the walls (or dye my hair again ha).

The extensions I received are from I&K Hair Gold in the colour P25/613. They are 22 inches and contain 130g of 100% real human hair.

These hair extensions are really thick and soft containing, 2 large three clip wefts, 2 small three clip wefts and 6 one clip wefts. They feel like very good quality and I didn't experience much fall out when brushing them. As I said above they matched my hair 'almost' perfectly but were a tiny bit too yellow as I tone down my hair. Therefore I took the plunge and decided to try and tone them down a bit using purple conditioner. It mostly worked and they match a bit better now but will look even better once I've washed them a few times.

I didn't clip them all in but I found they were very easy to use and blended in well. They weren't heavy at all and didn't feel like a chore to have in. As I have a lot of hair I don't think the extensions were thick enough for me so looked a little bit thin at the ends. They would be much more suited to people with thinner hair but still didn't look too bad and I would still wear them out. As you can see I did curl them which was extremely easy and took about 10 minutes. The curl did drop a bit straight after curling but still left a nice soft curl which lasts for days.

Before and After
Overall I like how these extensions gave the top of my hair a lot more volume but were a bit too thin at the ends as I have a lot of hair on my head. Therefore I might give them a trim and wear them more for volume rather than length.

You can check out these extensions and many others on the Hairtrade website here http://www.hairtrade.com/hair-extensions.

OOTD | ASOS Needle and Thread Tulle Skirt

For a few weeks I had been on the hunt for a tulle skirt. I think after everyone saw Sarah Jessica Parker rock one we all had a secret love for them, but were very afraid to wear them ourselves. However after seeing a very established blogger wear this one from Needle and Thread and it did't look too bad, so I knew I had to have it. After it being sold out on ASOS every time I looked, I finally went on there and they had a fresh batch in! I was so excited, had a mini heart attack and bought it as fast as I could.

Now I wouldn't normally spend £55 on a skirt so close to the end of the month when I have no money but I couldn't not. This was like fate that the day I looked on ASOS is the day they had loads more in. However as soon as I put it in my basket it had sold out so I was very lucky. It was the best decision I have ever made and I wish I could wear it everyday!

I was a bit apprehensive at first as it is a bit different, but I have received so many compliments while wearing it, I now feel very confident. I normally just wear it with a simple plain top as I want the skirt to be the main focus. I am not really saving it for special occasions I have worn it loads just out and about, and even to work. Here are a few photo's of me wearing it on holiday.

Pure and Pose Mink Lashes

I am a lover of false eyelashes, I think they really set off a make up look and can make smaller eyes pop! Mink lashes are fairly new on the scene and I don't think many people, accept celebrities and make up artists, have bought into them yet. This might be because they are more expensive than normal false lashes, however this is because they much more premium and have many benefit. They are a lot lighter and can last up to 20 applications, whereas most false lashes you wouldn't wear more than 3 times. I am sold on Mink lashes and these ones by Pure&Pose* are a brilliant addition to my collection.
Hello Summer Collection - Sale only £9.99
Dancing Queen
Th Hello Summer collection from Pure&Pose contains 2 sets of lashes. The ones in the above photo are the Dancing Queen lashes and they are my favorite out of the 3 sets I was sent. They are very similar to Mac's 35 lashes and look so girly. I love how they aren't too massive and although they very long it does have shorter bits to balance it out. I wouldn't normally go for this style but it's a bit different, makes your eyes look bigger, stand out and really feminine. They were easy to apply, not too heavy and seem like they will last a long time.
Temptress
Now I had a bit of trouble with the Temptress lashes, which are the second set in the Hello Summer collection. Firstly getting them out of the box was a bit difficult so they stretched a bit, and a couple of hairs fell out. I then had to cut them down as they were too long which I have to do with all my lashes but when I did this loads of the hairs fell out at the same time. I am not sure if I just had a bad batch as none of the hairs fell out on the other 2 lashes so I might have just been unlucky. However I still applied them to see what they looked like. These ones were very long, a bit too long for me, but they still weren't too heavy. I couldn't wear them for hours but they looked good and I liked the style. I just think these were more suited for bigger eyes or people that like wearing really big lashes.
Belle of the Ball - £19.99
I was excited to try the Belle of the Ball lashes as they are a little bit different to usual. They are quite small and subtle starting at the inner part but the outer is a lot thicker to give more of a feminine fluttery look. Some people like to just wear a few single false lashes on the outer part of their lids just to get that look so these lashes reflect that. It's a lot easier applying strip lashes than it is individual I can tell you! So these lashes just give a little bit more volume to your natural ones and a flirty sultry look at the end. Again these lashes are lightweight, good quality and will last you a long time, which explains the price tag on mink lashes. If you want to see what these lashes look like on then please watch my new video below.

If you want to check out Pure&Pose lashes then you can do so here www.pureandpose.com.

Lots of love

Playboy Makeup

I was recently sent some samples of Playboy Makeup* to take part in their Pin Up Challenge. This is the first time I had come across Playboy make up but knowing what a massive brand they are, I was very excited to try.
I was sent a sparkly bronze nail varnish in the shade Billionaire  a baby pink lipstick in Bubblegum Pink and a lengthening black mascara. First impressions were great, I love the glitzy boxes on the outside and the matte black packaging inside. I used these products for a make up look which you can see below.
http://www.directcosmetics.com/icode/56535 £2.95
The nail varnish is good quality and easy to apply. I love a bit of glitter so with a few coats of this, it really adds a glamorous touch. You can use it on its own and add a couple of coats for a nice even colour or just use one coat over your favourite nail shade to add a bit of sparkle.
www.directcosmetics.com/icode/56521 £3.95
The lipstick is extremely moisturising and creamy so is a dream to apply and doesn't feel at all drying. The light pink shade is quite light for my skin but I surprisingly liked it. Its gorgeously girly and even tastes like roses which is a nice little perk.
The mascara is great for everyday looks, the wand really separates lashes so doesn't clump at all. With one quote it is quite subtle, but with a couple more it really defines and elongates the lashes for a beautiful pin up look. I personally prefer a mascara where a little more product comes on the wand to get a thicker look but this is perfect for no make up days.

Here is the look I created, let me know what you think. I am not sure where you can buy Playboy Makeup but I found a good selection on this website www.directcosmetics.com/browse. You can also check out their Twitter page and they will be more than happy to help twitter.com/PlayboyMakeupUK
