Chemist Direct

Online chemists are fast becoming popular sites, especially with them selling plenty more products than we can find on the highstreet, in some areas even Boot's can't compete. They sell everything you would find in a normal chemist from toothpaste to supplements however these sites are also handy for all those french pharmacy skin care products which are taking over our beauty cabinets. I was recently contacted by Chemist Direct* to have a look at their site and share my opinions with you.

French Pharmacy Skincare

The Chemist Direct website is very easy to use, with a huge range of products. Each one has a massive description so this makes it a lot better to find the right product for you. There are also reviews which customers have left on some products and you can leave your own too.  The site states the RRP and the price that Chemist Direct sell it for, nearly everything is on sale which is amazing! I would say that the photo's of the products could be a bit bigger when you are searching through as some are hard to see but the titles are quite big so this makes up for it.

Chemist Direct

There is a massive choice of products and loads of major brands like L'Oreal, Vichy, La Roche Posay, Burts Bee's, Clinique, Bare Minerals and plenty more. You can filter the products by brand which I found incredibly useful and the prices are really competitive. You will be pleased to know there is a big selection of french pharmacy brands and some of which being the cheapest I've seen. They sell the Vichy Dermablend range which is my favourite full coverage foundation so I am extremely happy. Chemist Direct literally sell everything you need in your bathroom from skincare, make up, fragrances, bath products, hair styling and electrical beauty products.

Chemist Direct let me pick a couple of products to try out. I choose the Vichy Aqualia Thermal Paraben Free Serum as I am so into serum's at the moment. I never thought they would be as great as they are but now they are the biggest part of my skincare routine. This one is brilliant, very hydrating and would be perfect for all skin types, even dry skin. It's quite liquidy so is easy to apply and soaks into the skin quickly. There is no fragrance so is gentle on the skin, you can really feel is moisturising deep down.

One thing which is very handy at the moment is their huge range of suncreams and SPF's. We are having amazing weather here in the UK at the moment so wearing sun lotion is a must if you want to stay safe.

They also have a great range of face SPF's which I have been looking for since getting my moles removed. It's important I use an SPF everyday so that my face doesn't scar while healing. Therefore Chemist Direct let me try out the La Roche Posay Anthelios AC SPF 30 Extreme Fluid for Face, wow that's a title! It's a great sunscreen for the face as it provides high UVA and UVB protection, its thin like milk and applies well. It soaks into the skin quite quickly so you don't have to wait around to apply make up. I love the smell for some reason, its very light and doesn't have that strong sun lotion scent. It does dry matte which is a great bonus as you don't want the sun to shine off your face in the hot weather. Although I would say that if you have very dry skin then this may not be the product for you as the matte finish could dry it out more.

The staff at Chemist Direct are so friendly and willing to help. They are available by email, phone and live chat which is very handy. Delivery of the products was super quick and is free in the UK on orders over £40. Check out Chemist Direct here www.chemistdirect.co.uk.

P.S. Chemist Direct are currently offering 'buy one get one free' on all sun creams, so get in fast and stock up as we all know they can be quite pricey.
There is also currently a sale on Vichy and La Roche Posay, I think most products have more than a third off so hurry if you want to grab a bargain.
