Maybelline Eraser Eye Concealer and L'Oreal Manga Mascara and Super Liner Review

Hey lovelies
So I have done a quick video review of some products I have recently bought in Superdrug. I got the L'Oreal Miss Manga Mascara, L'Oreal Super Liner perfect slim and Maybelline The Eraser Eye Concealer. To see what I think about these products please watch the video below.

http://www.superdrug.com/loreal/loreal-miss-manga-mascara-black/ £8.99
http://www.superdrug.com/face-make-up/maybelline-eraser-eye-concealer-light £7.99
http://www.superdrug.com/loreal/loreal-superliner-perfect-slim-black-intense £6.99
Here is a photo of the Miss Manga Mascara compared to the Benefit They're Real Mascara.

L'Oreal Miss Manga
Benefit They're Real
I think the Miss Manga Mascara makes them look thicker but Benefit separates each individual lash and lengths them. They both have plus points but the Miss Manga is more dramatic.

And here is my full review of all 3 products.

Thanks for watching treasures

Clothing Ban 2014

Hey treacles
So this year is a busy year. Basically I am desperate to move out but I need to save big time. Also I know that when I do move out my life will pretty much be over because I will have no money to do anything. Therefore this year I am trying to pack in as many holiday and activities I want to do as well as saving up. This should be fun considering I am the WORST at saving money.

I think I'll buy one of these www.creativatoys.co.uk/new-home-fund
I was tidying up my room last week and I realised that I have way too many clothes.  Way to many! As in I could probably wear a different outfit every single day for the next 3 years. My room is a mess and after 2 double wardrobes and 2 chests of drawers I have completely run out of room. I really think I need to go to shopaholics anonymous.

One wardrobe.... The other is twice as big but really messy! Help me!
Therefore I have put myself on a clothing ban for 2014 to help save more money and room, starting the 1st February. I know this will be extremely difficult because I online shop every single day, and probably buy at least one item of clothing each week. But I really want to try and do this and prove to myself that I can save money. I just thought I would let you all know so that if you hear me saying on here or Twitter that I want this item of clothing then please please please stop me!!!! I mean it just be brutal, I need some tough love.

Lots of love lovelies

P.S. I need as much help as possible so if your on a spending ban this year then please share your tips with me below and we can get through this together

Monin Flavoured Coffee Syrups

Hey roses
I'm pretty sure most people love going to Starbucks or Costa and getting their favourite coffee concoction. I know I do. I love all the flavours you can get there like caramel and gingerbread, and especially the amazing Christmas ones! Ahh my mouth is watering just thinking about it. Now if you watch them make the coffee you will see that they add syrups to get the different flavours. One day I thought 'Oh my god I would love to buy them syrups and add them too my coffee everyday'. The thought left my mind for a few months but then came back again when my morning brew started to get a bit boring. Next step... Internet!

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Monin-Coffee-Syrup-Gift-Set-5-x-50ml - £9.99
And I found them straight away on eBay. I bought a set of 5 different mini bottles for £9.99 and free postage. Bargain! The flavours included were caramel, vanilla, hazelnut, gingerbread and chocolate cookie. They are exactly the same as the ones used in the coffee shops and are great to add a little extra something to your morning boost.

I love coffee, probably a little too much. But don't worry I do only drink one cup a day because I know how bad it is for you. I have one cup every morning to get me started for the day, if I don't have it I feel terrible and sometimes get headaches. This is probably bad but oh well.

It took some experimenting to get the quantities right but I think I now have it down to a fine art. I add about a couple of millimeters of the syrup to the bottom of my cup, add a teaspoon of coffee, pour in hot water and top it off with milk. I used to have sugar in my coffee but I thought syrup is not good for you so it would be doubly as bad to have both, therefore I cut out the sugar but to be honest it's all down to your taste preference.

I am so glad I finally bought them, my favourite flavours are gingerbread and hazelnut. If you love Starbucks and Costa's flavoured coffee's as much as I do then you will loveeeeee these syrups. They will also make a great present for absolutely anyone (as long as they drink coffee).

Here's a link to where I bought mine but you can find them on loads of different sites if you don't like eBay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Monin-Coffee-Syrup-Gift-Set-5-x-50ml

Lots of love treacles

Rimmel Stay Matte Foundation and NYX HD Primer

Hey petals
I bought the Rimmel Stay Matte foundation a few months ago after seeing the amazing advert on the TV and I was totally sucked in. It promises to be a lightweight, non cakey foundation which controls shine. I bought the shade 200 Soft Beige.

After using it a couple of times I didn't really like, although it was matte I found it very thick, cakey and disappointing. Therefore I forgot about it and just put it to the back of my make up stash. However coming into the winter period I wanted more of a matte finish drugstore foundation for everyday purposes as opposed to using my dewy finish wake me up foundation, also by Rimmel. So I decided to dig out the stay matte again and give it another go.

http://www.superdrug.com/rimmel-london/rimmel-stay-matte-foundation-soft-beige/ £5.99
The first time I used it I used my Real Techniques Expert Face brush, which didn't work for me, so this time I decided to go for a trusty Stippling brush.... And there we have it. It was all in the brush. The foundation was great!

The stippling brush applied a thinner coat and was not cakey at all. In fact I would go as far to say that it actually leaves a flawless airbrushed finish. It is quite heavy coverage even with a thin coat but this is great as it covers mostly all my imperfections and redness. It is extremely matte and lasts all day.

And the next day I used it, I made it even better by using it with my new NYX HD Studio Photogenic Primer. I didn't notice too much of a difference when applying it but when taking my daily selfie (vain I know) I noticed my skin looked amazing. In the photo's it was smooth, flawless and the best it has ever looked (high five to self!)

http://www.nyxcosmeticsstore.co.uk/HDP_Studio_Photogenic_Primer £12.50

When using the primer with other foundations I didn't notice too much of a difference that's why I have barely used it. I don't have much experience with primers because some have given me allergic reactions. But this has been fine so far and I love the finish. The name really does do it justice because I looked much better in photo's than I normally would.

Before                                                                                           After

Sorry I look so rubbish in the photo's above but you get the idea. My face does look a bit flat but I have no blush, bronzer and contour on, this is purely the foundation and primer.

Some people haven't gone on with this foundation at all but I will be using these products loads over the cold months and definitely on those days when I need a little bit of extra coverage. I think I have now found the perfect combination.

Thanks for reading roses

P.S. Here is the infamous selfie that I took when I discovered how amazing my skin looked after using these products.

Its a miracle!

Ginvera Green Tea Nude Cover Cream

Hello sparkles
Recently my skin has been affected by the winter elements and has become extremely dry and red. Therefore I have not been wanting to use much make up on it. I recently received this Ginvera Green Tea BB Cream from a UK skincare company called Janiro*, which I thought I would give a try instead of using foundation. Ginvera is a Asian skincare brand, their Green Tea range comes straight from Singapore and the BB Cream contains premium ingredients like Green Tea, Ginseng, Chinese Angelica and Hyaluronic Acid.

Firstly it smells gorgeous, it has quite a light fragrance which is gentle and soft. I didn't want it to smell too strong as my skin is quite sensitive at the moment. Its quite liquidy which I think is a positive because you can apply it a lot easier and a little bit goes a long way. If creams are thick then you spend too much time rubbing them in. I just rubbed it on with my fingers which I think is best with BB creams as you only want a thin coat... Remember it's a cream not make up.

I think it does adapt to match most skin tones although you might find it a bit dark if your really pale. The colour matches my skin perfectly and makes more complexion look much better. It doesn't cover up everything like foundation does but it reduces the redness and the appearance of some imperfections like acne scars. I would say that it definitely evens out your skin tone while still looking completely natural. I have found it quite moisturing on my dry patches and has left my skin really soft for hours. Overall I think this is one of the best BB creams I have used and is great for those days where you just don't want to wear make up and a great bonus is that it contains SPF 30.

You can find Ginvera here on the Janiro site /www.janiro.co.uk/collections/ginvera-green-tea/ or on Twitter twitter.com/JaniroLtd

Tartan eBay Dress

Hey bunnys
I am loving anything tartan at the moment and it's bang on trend. Like me, you may have seen this red tartan swing dress everywhere with some companies selling it for £20-£25. As I am saving now I always check if they have the things I want on eBay, as it will most likely be a lot cheaper. And they did...

Dress - £9.99 eBay
Boots - £20.00 New Look
It was £9.99 on eBay. That's half the price of what some other clothing companies were selling it for! HALF PRICE! And FREE postage!
I know that I should probably support online clothing companies rather than people on eBay but I am sorry (I'm not really that sorry) when you are on a budget you have to go to any means necessary to look good.

Sorry the pics aren't great (again my boyfriend isn't the best with a camera... Impatient sod) but you get the idea of what the dress looks like.

I wore this dress on a date night with my boyfriend to TGI Fridays. I paired it with a black belt, tights and black ankle boots. You wouldn't really think straight away that this dress can look smart but this proves that it can be dressed up with heels or worn casually with leggings and flat boots.

Josh looking happy as ever!
If you want to buy this dress here is where I got it http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Womens-Red-Tartan-Check-Print but there are loads of seller's on eBay selling it... Just type in Tartan Swing Dress.

Thanks for reading sparkles

Sleek Oh So Special Palette

Hola chicka's
Last week I saw a few people blog about the Sleek i-Devine Oh So Special palette and I thought it looked gorgeous so I decided to buy it. It has a good selection of colours, most of the light ones are pink so it reminds me of the Naked 3 Palette (which I still haven't bought) so I fell in love with it immediately.

Sleek Oh So Special £7.99 Superdrug

I have added quite a bit of the colours here to show you the true shades.
Bow and Pamper are extremely light matte colours and not very pigmented as they are base shades so you need to add quite a bit if you want them to appear. Organza and Gateau are both pink shimmers and are beautiful colours, with a rose gold tone. Ribbon is a lovely peach shade and The Mail is a perfect matte brown which can be used in the crease. Gift Basket is a brown/bronze shimmer and would look great all over the lid. Boxed is a darker matte brown which could also be used in the crease, outer lid or even for brows. Glitz is a gorgeous dark blue shimmer like the nights sky and Celebrate is a daring purple shimmer. Wrapped Up is a matte brown/purple and Noir is a matte black which every palette needs. I would say that the shimmers are a lot more pigmented than the mattes and you need to add quite a bit of the matte shadows on if you want good colour pay off, even with the dark shades.

I love this palette and will definitely be using the colours loads. There is a good selection of shades and all of which are extremely versatile. You can't really go wrong for £8 so if you can't afford to pay £37 for the Naked 3 palette then this one by Sleek is a great alternative.

Lots of love bunnys

Escentual Haul

Hi jewels
Ok this isn't really a haul but I saw that Escentual had a 20% off sale so I decided to put in a small order of products I've never used before but wanted to try. So I thought I would show them to you now and I will post reviews once I've tried them. The prices shown are the prices I paid with the 20% off, the prices in brackets are the RRP.

TIGI S-Factor Health Factor Conditioner 750ml £17.10 (£29.50)
 TIGI S-Factor Health Factor Shampoo 250ml £11.60 (£14.50)

This is the shampoo and conditioner that Zoella uses and she raves about it so I thought I would give it a whirl. She has lovely hair so hopefully it works for me too.

Bioderma Sebium Global - Intensive Purifying Care 30ml £7.84 (£9.80)
Vichy Normaderm Anti-Imperfection Hydrating Care 50ml £10.00 (£12.50)

These two skincare products are very similar and are meant to be good for acne prone skin and scarring. You use them after cleansing so I guess they are moisturisers even though it doesn't say.

I got some great bargains here and the Escentual sale ends this Sunday the 12th January so be quick if you want to buy any of these items or any other products from the amazing brands they have.

Here is a link to their site so check them out http://www.escentual.com/

Thanks for reading chicka's

P.S. Have you bought any products from Escentual that you recommend. Let me know?

Sahar scarf

Hi sprinkles
I recently received the most gorgeous scarf from Sahar*. They are an online clothing company that sells printed jumpers, scarves and dresses.

http://www.sahar.co.uk/en/scarves/?product_id=674 £21.60
The scarf looks like its very expensive and a high end designer make. I love the print on it, it kinds of reminds me a bit of Gucci. It's so versatile as it can be worn casually with a jumper or dressed up with a LBD (little black dress). The scarf I got is a silky material but they also sell the most gorgeously printed cotton ones and warmer woolly scarfs as well. The prices of the scarfs are from £14-£20 so are very reasonable and affordable. They add a lot of style to a simple outfit, as well as keeping you warm, so I will definitely be wearing mine loads.

Prices on Sahar's website are in Russian Rubbles but don't let this put you off. Just Google what the price is in Pounds Sterling or ask them a question. They are so friendly and very willing to help you. They offer free UK shipping and delivery, and you can order yours here http://www.sahar.co.uk/en/scarves/ or find them on Twitter https://twitter.com/helloSAHAR.

I also have a 20% off discount code for you to use until the end of January. Just enter BLOG162 at the checkout.

Thanks for reading jewels

2013 Favourites

Howwdyyy sweethearts
Here are my favourite products of 2013!!!!
Real Techniques Expert Face Brush
This has been an all round brilliant brush. I use it everyday to apply foundation and it leaves such a soft flawless finish.

Sleek Face Form Palette
I use this product everyday! The bronzer is sooo amazing and extremely versatile. The highlighter is very subtle and the blush is the most gorgeous rose gold shade.

Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation
This foundation is awesome. Its extremely light and leaves a lovely dewy finish. It barely feels like your wearing foundation, smells amazing and it great for all year round.

Mac Lipstick - Rebel
Ahhh Rebel has been the must have shade for 2013 and it has definitely lived up to expectations. Its a lovely deep purple and suits loads of skin tones. Such a beautiful shade which is a little bit different.

Benefit They're Real Mascara

I only started using this last month but it is definitely the best mascara I've ever used. It makes my lashes look so long even with just a tiny bit and is build-able for that false lash effect.
NYX Matte Lip Cream - Amsterdam
I love this product so much, I use it all the time for a really quick glam eye popping red lip. It is so easy to apply and has the most gorgeous bright red colour. It drys matte so stays put for hours.

The Body Shop Vitamin C Exfoliator
This exfoliator smells beautiful and the beads are small, it makes me feel like I am at a spa. Being a microdermabrasion exfoliator it is very intense so be careful if you have sensitive skin but it gets rid of all dead skin cells leaving your face feeling fresh, clean and soft.

Liz Earl Cleanse and Polish
I think everyone loves Liz Earl cleanse and polish but the limited edition grapefruit one smelled amazing. It was a step up from the original one, adding a zingy fresh burst of scent while still leaving skin extremely clean.

Skinetica
Skinetica has been a great toner to use. It is very gentle and just feels like your applying water. I think it helped clear up my spots and it just added that little something to my skincare routine.

Pro-Voke Touch of Silver Shampoo and Conditioner

This purple shampoo has been such a brilliant easy product to use while I was dying my hair blonde. It gets rid of all the yellow brassy tones and leaves my hair a gorgeous blonde shade.
Imperial Leather Foamburst - Honey and Almond Milk
This shower gel is absolutely beautiful, the smells is so subtle and lovely and it feels great on the skin. The formular foams up loads so a little goes a long way. A lot of people say it has made their skin a little bit dry so be careful but it has been ok with me.

...

And my overall favourite has been making the transition from brunette to blonde. There has been lots of ups and downs including multicoloured, ginger and green stages but it has been an eventful experience and I have loved every minute experimenting and laughing at myself.

Thanks for reading gorgeous beautiful people. Have a great 2014!

Lots of love sprinkles
