Hey dolls

As some of you may know I am trying to use more organic products with less harsh chemicals in. A lot of beauty products have so many different artificial chemicals in which can never be good for you in the long run. So I was very happy when I got sent a vegan organic shampoo, replenishing treatment conditioner and hair perfecting oil to try out by BiOrganics*.

BiOrganics - £35
First impressions are that the smell is very strong but I have been using it for about 3 weeks and now I love the smell. It is so natural and lovely, I can't really describe what it smells like accept for herbal, some people have said lavender. The shampoo leaves my hair very clean and healthy, which I didn't think an organic shampoo would do. I thought if it was natural then it wouldn't work as well however it was wonderful.

The conditioner has the same smell, it's quite thin and creamy but goes on well and leaves hair quite soft. It could probably do with being a bit thicker but I like to slather lots of conditioner on cos I have so much hair. It's a great formula for an organic alternative.

The oil is very thin but I like this as it is easy to distribute through the hair. Its a good hair oil and I like to use it before blow drying my hair as it leaves it healthier.

BiOrganics claims:

  • Softens & Smoothes
  • Hydrates & Replenishes
  • Strengthens & repairs
  • Enhances Shine & Lustre
  • Protects against heat styling
  • Reduces blow-drying time
  • Colour Safe Formula
  • weightless conditioning
  • Vegan and Cruelty free
  • FREE FROM SLS, Parabens, perfumes and artificial colours

To be honest I have no discrepancies against this. I believe it does what it says and works well. I would definitely purchase this product again.

You can find BiOrganics on Twitter or on their website

#OOTD Sports Chic Take 2

Howdy monkeys

You may have seen in my last outfit of the day post I was rocking sports chic. Well here is take 2 but a more girly version. Again, like the other look, this is a very out there kind of look, but I liked it so that's all that matters. I never want to dress the same as everyone else but if people judge me for that then they are probably just jealous. As Miranda sings would say... Haters back off!

Spotty denim dungaree dress - £8 Primark
Socks - £2 Primark
Converse -  £40 JD Sports

Let me know what you think of this outfit.

Lots of love dolls

Devine Nails

Hi treasures

I got sent some bespoke fake stick on nails by Laura at Devine Nails*. She custom designs nails, you can tell her what you want or let her design some for you. She is so creative and is always posting great nails on twitter and Facebook. You choose the colour, design, style & size of the nail and Laura sends them to you.

The nails came in loads of different sizes so I just picked out the ones that fitted me and stuck them on with the glue provided. It was so easy and looked great. I love how she provided lots of different colours and one feature nail. They are perfect for any special occasion or night out, the nails are very strong and stay on well. I normally get my nails done at the salon but sometimes I am too busy to go, so I would definitely wear these in between salon visits.

Prices start from £6
Laura is so lovely and helpful, her designs always give me inspiration as I love trying different nail art on my own nails. You can talk to her on or or here's how to order her nails directly.

Tag: Autumn

Hi loves

I was tagged by the gorgeous Melissa from Shadow and Polish to do the Autumn tag. So here it is...

Favourite thing about Autumn?
Wearing jumpers. I am always cold even when it's boiling hot, so I wear granny cardigans all year round. But I love autumn cos then I don't like look a weirdo in a cardigan or massive jumper.
Favourite drink?
Tea but occasionally a hot chocolate if I'm feeling naughty. But not just any hot chocolate, I only like Costa :)
Favourite scent/candle?
I don't really have a favourite scent/candle. They are mostly all nice.
Best lipstick?
This autumn I am loving Rimmel Kate Moss in the shade 107. Its a dark deep red and is the perfect autumn shade.

Go-to moisturiser?
Superdrug Vitamin E moisturiser. Its cheap, nice to apply and has SPF. Even though it's cold in autumn the sun is still very strong.
Go-to colour for the eyes?
Light neutrals are great if I am wearing a heavy, dark lip colour. Or I am loving deep cranberry and gold colours if I am wearing a nude lip. Check out my video on my autumn smokey eye look at the bottom of this post.
Favourite music to listen to?
Just whatever is out in the charts at the time.
Favourite outfit to wear?
Dresses or skater skirts, thick tights and big jumpers. And boots... I love wearing boots!

Autumn treat?
New clothes!!!!!!!!!!!!! (Although this is also for all year round hehe)
Favourite place to be?
In bed with my boyfriend watching shit TV all snuggly and warm :) CRINGE!

Autumn in a pot

Hey my little lambs

Last week I took advantage of 3 for 2 on Maybelline in Superdrug and bought one of the 24 hour colour tattoo's in Metallic Pomegranate. I saw it and thought it was the perfect autumn shade so just had to buy it.

Maybelline colour tattoo - £4.99 Superdrug
First impression is that it's an absolutely lovely colour. Second impression is that its not as maroon/cranberry as it looks in the pot because it has a very gold shimmer when it goes on. But the more you pack on, the more the maroon colour comes out. Its a cream eye shadow and as it stays on for ages, it is great to use as a base under powder eye shadow. However if your after a quick make up look with a cheeky splash of colour, then you can just where this on its own. Just sweep it over the eye lid under your eye liner and mascara. The colour tattoo's are very similar to the Mac paint pots but about a third of the price.

With flash

I really do think this is a great product and will definitely be wearing it loads this autumn.

I hope you enjoyed reading this post dolls

Seche Vite

Hellloooo kittens

Just a quick one for you lovely people.
Seche Vite quick dry topcoat... Yes I know I am very late on buying this product, but I never believed it would be that good. But I saw it on Sarah's blog and just went for it.

Seche Vite - £5.46 Amazon

Oh my goodness it's fricking amazing!!!!! Honestly I swear to god I painted my nails, applied Seche Vite to all my nails, after I finished on the 10th finger I touched the first one and it was completely dry! So dry that I could push down on the nail and the varnish wouldn't move. It must have taken about 30 seconds. This is wonderful because painting my nails only took about 5 minutes all in all and then I could get on and do stuff like eat and go to the toilet.

If you haven't tried this product yet then you have to buy it!

Lots of love to all my little lambs

Tag: Skincare

Hi chica's

I was tagged by the gorgeous Melissa of Shadow and Polish to do the Skincare tag. Check out Melissa's blog and her skincare tag... I can't get over how much Liz Earl she has!!!!

I only have a few skincare products. I buy what I need, try it out and see if I like it. If I do then I'll repurchase, if not I'll look for an alternative.

Describe your skincare routine in 5 words:
Exfoliate(Twice a week), Cleanse, Tone, Moisturize, Eye cream

What’s your skin type?

Combination - I have parts where I get spots and parts which are dry

Top Blemish Zapper
Tea Tree Oil - Its a natural product which cleans and antiseptics (I know that's not the right word but I can't think) the area.

Face Wipes, yay or nay?
Yay- I use them to take my makeup off, especially eye make up before I use a cream cleanser. I don't want to be to harsh on my face by rubbing the cleanser into my eyes so I use wipes or make up remover first.

Toner, yay or nay?
Yay - I never really believed in using toner but now I do. There's no harm in doing it so I thought I might as well. I find that even after cleansing it still removes traces of make up which is quite cool (I don't know why I think that's cool, obviously I have no life).

High-end skincare or high-end makeup?
A mixture of both. High end can get very expensive though so I try to look for high street alternatives. Most are very similar.

(I totally read this question wrong... I thought it said high end skin care or high street skin care) So I've just gone back to edit it but to be honest I think my question is better. Why would you compare skin care to make up, they are two completely different things. I love high street everything! I probably have 90% highstreet and 10% highend overall in everything.

What’s the most unusual skincare product you've tried?

I haven't really tried any unusual products but just like Melissa I also tried using toothpaste on spots. Total failure and never worked!

Tell us your top skincare tip
Never ever go to sleep with make up on. This clogs up your pours and causes spots. It doesn't take too seconds to take it off (even if you are drunk!) just use a wipe if you really can't be bothered.

After my night time skin care routine - No make up feeling great :)

#OOTD Baseball Jersey

Hi sugar plums

I have so many different styles. Most of the time I am really girly but occasionally I like to bring out my sporty/tom boy/emo/grunge or whatever look I fancy for that day. Today I bought out my sporty side with this laid back american baseball style. It's quite an out there look but I always like to stand out from the crowd. Sport chic style seems to be quite popular at the moment so here's my take on it.

Excuse Josh's brothers in the background hehe
Baseball Jersey - eBay £13.99
Crop top - Miss Guided £2.99
Wet look leggings - Market stall £5.99
Bandanna - Old
Trainers - Adidas £70

I hope you like this look.

Remember don't be afraid to be different!

Lots of love my chica's

Healthy Hair

Hello my beauty's

I'm not blowing my own trumpet but I quite often get compliments on how long and voluminous my hair is. So I thought I would do a post on how to get long hair while keeping it healthy, and I think these tips even help it to grow quicker.
(Disclaimer: I am not a hairdresser, these tips work for me, they may not necessarily work for you)

1. Don't wash your hair everyday
Wash every 2-3 days. Your hair needs to produce its natural oils in order to stay strong and grow. You make think its greasy but it's just the follicle oil. The less you wash your hair the less greasy it gets. If you wash your hair everyday, your hair fights to produce its oil, therefore it produces a whole lot quicker, making your hair greasy/oily a few hours after washing, which is why you feel you need to wash it everyday. Its a vicious circle. If you get in the routine of washing every 3 days then it won't get as greasy quickly. I wash my hair every 3 days, and I don't think it feels greasy at all.

Third day - not greasy at all and feels great
2. Don't use too much heat
Using a lot of heat on your hair is not good for it and can make it very dry and damaged. It may feel nice after you have straightened or curled it but your hair will not feel great when you leave it natural. If you use heat every day your hair will definitely not thank you in the long run. Try leaving your hair to dry naturally and embracing your natural style. It doesn't have to be straight or perfect to look great. Invest in some rollers that you can leave in, I have a blog post on my favourite sleep in rollers which you can find here

You can buy these rollers on the Strawberry Waves website

You can also leave it in plaits to give it a lovely gentle wave and this will calm down any frizz. My natural hair is wavy, which I don't mind and often leave it like this. Like many of you though I am always tempted to just straighten my fringe as it hangs a bit weird wavy and I want it to frame my face. But an alternative to this, which I do all the time, is pin it back, or push it back with an alice band or sunglasses (in the summer). It looks really good, no heat required and keeps it off your face.

3. Don't wear it up too often
Wearing you hair up everyday puts strain on the root which can cause it to fall out easily, and you don't want that. I like wearing my hair up as it can finish off an outfit or sometimes you fancy something different, but as my hair is so heavy and long, it kills me after a few hours. I get a terrible headache and have to take it down straight away. Try wearing your hair in a low ponytail or bun as this puts less strain on the hair. Don't pull it too tight, let it lay loose and messy for a sexy, just woken up look.

4. Use heat protector, Argan oil and less harsh chemicals
Do not use too many products on your hair!!!
You must definitely use a heat defense spray if your going to use heat. Some people say this weighs their hair down but I never find this, I use TRESemme. Argan oil or hair oil is great for repairing dry hair. I recommend Rana Argan oil which you can find in my blog post here. It is 100% argan oil so has nothing added. You can also you olive, coconut or almond oil. This leads onto my next point of using the least harsh chemicals on your hair as possible. I am currently testing out an organic shampoo and conditioner so look out for that blog post soon.

You can buy this Argan oil on the Rana website

5. Don't over dye
I change my hair colour all the time. But if it goes wrong or I don't like it, I never re-dye it straight away. I put up with having bad hair for at least a month while my hair recovers. You can also see me walking around with quite bad roots cos I don't like dying my hair too often. I normally wait a couple of months or until my hair feels healthy again until I dye it. If you keep dying your hair this will dry it out, damage the ends and even make it fall out. Try using bleach as least as possible, look for products without bleach in, and if you can use ammonia free dye. After dying your hair you must look after it and treat it properly. Do everything I have said above and use a colour protector shampoo so that it lasts longer and you dye it less.

Sit back and relax... your hair feels great

Let me know if these tips work for you or if you have any healthy hair tricks.

Thanks so much for reading sugar plums

P.S. A good diet and drinking plenty of water really helps you to get great hair. I haven't talked about this because I don't really watch my diet. I don't eat badly but I tend to have a few too many McDonald's and chocolate cakes (I just can't resist). Therefore I am not going to preach what I don't practice.

Maybelline Liquid Eyeliner

Hello cuddle bears

I wanted to try out a new liner with a felt tip, as I am rubbish at getting it straight and doing good flicks. I love my current eyeliner buy Bourjois as it stays on the whole day, but it has a brush tip so it's really not great to do cat eyes with. So I purchased Maybelline's Master precise Liquid Eyeliner.

The eyeliner is really easy to use and goes on great. I can draw quite a good straight line and is very quick to do.

Just applied (Sorry about my hideous spot)
Just applied

However... And this is a big however! After about 10 minutes it rubs off on the top of your lids. I hate when eyeliners do this as they are pretty much unwearable and you have wasted your money. This is so annoying as it started off great. Then you can feel it sticking to your lid and you just know that you have an awful black line there.
10 mins later (Sorry about the chipped nails)
10 mins later
I hate buying a product and not being able to use it so I am going to use it to draw a line and then go over it with my Bourjois clubbing liner so that it stays on.
This product might work for you but I will definitely not be purchasing it again. I know the L'Oreal one is supposed to be quite good but if you know of any others then please let me know.

Thanks for reading beauty's

August Favourites

Hiiiii sunshines

I don't usually have too many favourites as when I find a product I like, I stick to it and don't change it up. It also takes me ages to use up a product so having different favourites month on month is not something I have.

However I have a few products to show you which I have tried this month and really liked. - £9
Rana Argan oil
I won't say too much about this as I have a whole blog post about it here. But basically its an argan oil that can be used all over your body and is completely natural and pure. I have used it on my hair and it feels so soft and healthy.

Superdrug - £9.99
Bourjois bronzing BB cream
I have used BB cream a lot in the summer as it has been very hot and haven't felt like wearing foundation. This one by Bourjois smells amazing and smooths on your skin great. It's not as thick and creamy as others, so you could mix it with a bit of moisturiser, but does leave you with a gorgeous bronzed glow.

Superdrug - £3.99
Barry M Gelly shine nail varnish
These nail varnishes by Barry M are in really gorgeous shades and have a great finish. They last a fair amount of time (a lot longer on false nails) and stay really shiny.

Superdrug - £3.09
Provoke Touch of Silver Shampoo and Conditioner
I have recently gone blonde from brown and my hair went so yellow and brassy after dying. I used this shampoo and conditioner and it took the brassiness away from the first use. It truly is amazing and I love my hair colour now. As you can see I have nearly ran out.

Boots - £9.99
Real Techniques Expert face brush
I won't go on about this brush as I have written a whole blog post about it which you can find here. But this is my favourite make up brush ever and I will continue to love forever!!

I hope you enjoy reading this post and let me know what your favourites are this month.

Lots of love cuddle bears

Chloe x

P.S. Look at this pic of what happened when I was writing this blog post
