Revlon Photoready Primer x

Hi there baby cakes

So ages ago I told you I purchased Revlon's Photo-ready perfecting primer. I was so excited to try is as the name and bottle looked so professional and sounded like it would work wonders. Sometimes... actually most of the time I look shiny and horrendous in photo's as they bring out all my imperfections. Unfortunately I do have quite a few on my face consisting of dry/flaky patches, beauty spots and acne scars. Not pretty! So I am on a quest to find the perfect primer/foundation combination.

Revlon photoready Primer -  Boots £9.99

This is going to be a very short post because I am sad to say that I think this product is what caused my allergic reaction. You may have heard about it because I mentioned it a lot on here and Twitter. My face became all puffy and dry, it was so sore and I couldn't wear makeup for over a week. Obviously I am not sure this is what caused it for definite but this was the only new product I used all over my face at the time. I am scared to try it again in case it does it again but I will do in a few weeks time and I'll let you know the results. This upsets me because I am sure it is a very good product and its not exactly that cheap.

Let me know if you have tried this product and your thoughts?
Also let me know if you have sensitive skin and what primer you use?

Thanks for reading chicks

P.S. Thank you so much to all my new beautiful followers. I really appreciate it... Tell your friends :)

  1. I didn't like this product either. I didn't get allergies from it but I could feel my pores clogging up massively when I first used the product. Pity, I was hoping to find a good drugstore primer after hearing so many good reviews on it...xx

  2. I have not tried this out before, but I have been trying to use face primers more often since it is really hot where I live right now! I'm not sure if I would try this one because I've seen mixed reviews. It's a real shame that this broke you out! I am a new follower by the way :) I'm excited to read more from you in the future!

    1. Glad to be of help :) Yh I wasn't impressed and really disappointed because I had heard good reviews. I have never had an allergic reaction to make up before so it must be a really harsh product.

Thanks hun. I'm following you on GFC and Bloglovin, love your blog too :) x x x

  4. I had an awful allergic reaction to this too!! The first couple of times I used this, I thought it was just making me break out. I decided to give it another try in case I just happened to be going through a periodic breakout.

The second time around, I used it for a few days and liked the results. After about a week though, my skin became red and dry. And then, a couple days later my face started to become puffy in spots and horribly itchy. A week and half later, its just beginning to heal and is scaly and itchy. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone. I've never had an allergic reaction to makeup before.

    1. Omg that sounds horrible. I was going to give it another try but I am so glad I didn't. I also have never been allergic to any make up before, it's such a bad product!
