July Favourites x

Hey lovely bunnies

Here are my favourite products I have used in July. There have been quite a few that I have bought and loved this month so I narrowed them down to seven.

Liz Earl Cleanse and Polish starter kit - £14.75 John Lewis
I have been using this product every day and I really like it. Its a very gentle cleanser which goes on like a moisturiser then you rub it off with a hot muslin cloth. It makes me feel really clean after and is now part of my daily skincare routine.

Skinetica - £8.25 Bodycare2000.com
I absolutely love Skinetica! You can only buy it online but it is so worth it. I use it as a toner after I cleanse and it so calm and removes so much dirt and make up even after I have used the Liz Earl. I think it has sorted out my spots as I no longer get them at all.

Vitamin E Radiance cream - £2.99 Superdrug
I ran out of my daily moisturiser and this is the only one I could find in my room. So I started using it and its really creamy, smooth and does make my face look more radiant. It also has SPF 15 in it, which has been great to use in this heatwave.

L'Oreal Matt and Messy salt spray - £3.69 Boots
I have been trying to use less heat on my hair this summer as I am dying it blonde and is getting quite dry. This has been great as a quick fix hairstyle. You just spray it all over and get voluminous beachy waves in seconds. Looks sexy and relaxed in the summer, especially when you can't be bothered to do anything.

Herbal Essences Bee Strong shampoo and conditioner - £3.79 each Superdrug
I don't normally like Herbal essences shampoo as I think they are really boring. But I saw the advert for this one and it sounded really nice. I have to say it does smell gorgeous like creamy honey and that drew me in straight away. My hair is quite strong already so I'm not sure if it has made it stronger but I would definitely use this again just for the smell.

Seventeen Doll'd Up Mascara - £6.29 Boots
I actually did a separate blog post about this mascara when I first got it which you can read here http://closbeautyspot.blogspot.co.uk/2013/06/flutter-those-lashes-x.html. I am still using this product and still very much love it so I put it in this months favourites. It creates so much volume and makes my lashes look wonderful.

L'Oreal Preference wild ombre 1 - £6.99 Superdrug
I recently ombre my hair at home using the L'Oreal kit. It wasn't too difficult and came out quite well. I love the colour of my hair now at the buttom so much that I'm tempted to use this colour all over my hair.

Comment below and tell me what products you have been loving this month and you think I should try out.

Loads of love my little rays of sunshine

New Look sale x

Hello there Princes and Princesses

Last week I saw on Charlotte's, of www.looks2bloved.com, Twitter page that New Look were having a 50% sale!!! I do wish I never saw this tweet because I went straight on there and looked through all the amazing items. I have no money but who can resist a bargain :)

So I thought I would show you lovely people all the treats I bought.

Top - £8 was £16.99
Headband - £3.99
Belt - £2.99
Sunglasses - £4.99 each

Yes I did buy 2 of the same sunglasses but I find it difficult to find nice ones which don't look huge on me. So I saw these, liked them and thought 'Hey why not buy both colours'. I am such a bad influence on myself.
Sandals - £4 was £9.99
Box hat - £5
Now my boyfriend is obsessed with box hats and I love them but can never really pull them off. So I saw this leopard one for only £5 and I thought 'What the hell'. I will probably just wear it on holiday, because lets face it, you can look shit on holiday and no one will care.

Skinny Jeans - £12 was £24.99
Boyfriend Jeans - £8 was £24.99
I am not sure about the boyfriend jeans because you have to wear them really low and then they don't fit over my bum, so I might take them back. Not sure yet.

Look out for these items in loads of OOTD posts.

Thanks for reading loves

P.S. I am going to limit myself to buying one piece of clothing and one beauty product every week. Considering I have already met that this week, I really don't this it will last long.

OOTD Forever 21 dress x

Hi there chicka's

What's that? Another outfit of the day post? Oh yes!

I've been doing a few of these recently only because I have loads of summer dresses that I wanted to show you while its hot weather.
Yes hot weather in England I know! So I have to take advantage of this while it's here.

Black dress - Forever 21 £19.75
Wedges - Tesco F+F £14

And here's some random pics for you :)

I love this dress so much. The V neck at the front is very flattering on small chested people like myself (or as my ever so nice boyfriend calls them... gnat bites! He's so lovely to me!). Don't worry you can adjust the straps, which is great because I'm so small and the straps are always too low on dresses for me. I am also loving the longer at the back, shorter at the front midi dresses. I think this would look great on most body types. I do wear this dress with flats and doesn't look bad but looks a lot better with heels.

Hope you guys like it.

Lots of love Princes and Princesses

P.S. I have loads of new products to review for you soon, and a New Look sale haul! Also watch out this week for a July favourites post :)

Here's a fun pic for you. Josh just picks me up whenever he likes and throws me on his shoulders. Good thing the scaffolding was there!

Strawberry waves x

Howdy sugar pops

A couple of weeks ago I discovered Strawberry Waves on Twitter, they are soft hair rollers which you can sleep in and wake up with beautiful curly locks. They look like big sponge strawberry's, damage free and no heat is required so are safe for children to use. Depending on how small a curl you want you can just wind the hair round tighter or looser, so it can create so many different looks. I love having curly hair so thought I would give them a try, I started off with a pack of 6 to see how it goes and they were only £5.99 (Plus £3 P+P).

Strawberry Waves!

You might think its silly me only trying 6 and not having them all over but I've got quite naturally wavy curly hair anyways. My natural waves are very messy and big but if I add some neat curls to it, they blend in and it looks curly all over.

Sorry I look so rough
Chilling with my strawbs
One night I showered, blow dried my hair till it was about 80% dry, then added the rollers and slept the whole night. The next night I didn't wash my hair so it was completely dry and still curly, I grabbed random sections and sprayed them with heat defense spray so it was slightly damp, added the rollers again and slept in them. Both mornings I brush out the curls as I like them to look natural.

In my opinion I got better curls from using them on dry hair which was made damp with spray. I think that my hair was too clean after I washed it and they work better on the next day after washing, the hair takes the curls better and they become a lot more bouncy. If you do use them after washing your hair and your not sure how much you should blow dry your hair, just remember it is better for the hair to be too dry than too wet. If your hair is too wet then it won't curl at all because it won't dry in the roller.

Beautiful big bouncy curls
They are the definitely the best sleep in rollers I've tried, I wore them all night and still got a great nights sleep. I have tried other sleep in rollers but found them very uncomfortable and couldn't sleep at all. I am a very light sleeper and need at least 8 hours otherwise I can't function, so I hate wearing rollers if they are likely to keep me awake.
I also found that with other rollers they wouldn't stay in and I would need to use clips, which defeats the object of 'sleep in' rollers. Strawberry Waves are a special shape so you wind your hair round the middle and the outside bit of the strawberry hangs over to keep the hair in place. It's hard to explain but they don't fall out and you don't need clips or grips.

What do you think of my curls?
Also you don't have to sleep in them. I haven't tried this yet but like most rollers you can blow dry your hair 3/4 of the way, put the rollers in and then carry on blow drying until it's completely dry. If you leave them in to set for an hour or so after blow drying then this will also create gorgeous curls.

I really do recommend this product, this review is 100% my honest opinion they were so comfortable and I didn't even know I had them in. Try them for yourself if you don't believe me.

If you want to purchase Strawberry Waves here's their website

And you can also find them on Twitter

Mac Lippys and OOTD x

Hello there my babes

A couple of weeks ago I bought a couple of Mac Lipsticks and I thought I would show them to you. There is so much choice so I found it very difficult to pick only two but I finally decided on 'Girl About Town' and 'Kinda Sexy'.

Kinda Sexy - Mac £14

Girl About Town - Mac £14

Kinda Sexy is a nude/pink matte lipstick. I absolutely love the colour, its very subtly and great for a simple spring/summer look. As it is a matte lipstick is does bring out all the lines and dry bits on your lips so make sure your lips are in good condition when you were this.
OMG how nice is Girl About Town?! This colour is beyond sexy, it looks so girly and romantic. It's an amplified finish which personally I think is the best one. It is great for everyday as it adds a little 'je ne sais quoi' to very simple makeup. And for a night out wear with a more dramatic smoky eye look for that sexy, sultry feel.
Both these lipsticks stay on for ages with no movement or smudging.
Let me know what you think or if there are any other Mac shades you would recommend I try.

Also here is my outfit of the day from yesterday. I should really start calling it outfit of yesterday #OOY because I never do it on the actual day. Sorry I hope you guys don't mind.

Dress - Mango (Cant't remember price I think it was about £40)

What do you think of my make up in the above ootd pic? I wanted to go for a summer shimmery look and tried to make my eyes appear bigger. Do you think it worked??

Thanks for reading my sugar pops

P.S. My boyfriend is having loads of work done to his house so that explains the scaffolding and rubble you may have seen. Hopefully I'll have some better pics for you soon.

Apocalips x

Hellooooo there bunnies
A couple of weeks ago I went into Superdrug and saw Apocalips on the Rimmel counter! Everything about it sucked me in... The cool shaped bottle, the bright colours and uniqueness of the product (if that's a word).
After seeing the colour on the model shown in the advert I couldn't resist buying 'Apocaliptic'.

Apocalips - Apocaliptic Superdrug £5.99

I love this product! Its in the middle of a lipstick and a lipgloss, and its so pigmented. Apocaliptic is a lovely fuchsia colour, it's so sexy and eye catching. It glides on so easily and stays on for a few hours. You do have to keep an eye on it though, some people have said that its bleed, I didn't find this but you do have to be careful you don't touch your lips and smudge it over your face. It's so bright that if it goes anywhere you will notice it and comes off all over your food and drinks, so no kissing! Also like a gloss it doesn't really dry, it stays wet all day... Not sure if that's a good or bad thing. I can't wait to try all the other colours though as they look so gorgeous, especially nude and red.

Leave your comments as to what you thought of Apocalips? Did you like it or loath it?

Thanks for reading sprinkles

OOTD Love print dress x

Hi chicks
Really quick outfit of the day post. I love midi dresses, I think they are so flattering and suit most shapes. May need heels if you are a bit vertically challenged hehe. No offence because I'm really quite small myself, but I can't be bothered to wear heels for work!

Love print midi dress - New Look £19.99
Shoes - Garage shoes.co.uk £14.99

Very poor photo taken by the boyf! I look so out of proportion :/

Just another boring work outfit but thought I would share it with you. Let me know what you think.

Loads of love my bunnies
